It is an old and false statement that married actresses does not get opportunities in films. 21st century heroines are ruling film industry even after marriage. And former miss world Aihwarya Rai Bacchan is living example for it. Aish has acted in three big movies after her marriage and they are going to hit silver screens in coming three months. One of them is Shankar’s ROBO. Aishwarya Rai shared her experiences and comments with us...

How do you feel working such a big movies like ‘Raavan’, ‘Robo’, ‘Guzarish’, and ‘Action Replay’?

Let me tell you one thing first. I never consider the budget of a movie before signing. I only consider director and my role. I will have the same enthusiasm before the release of movie, whether it is big or small.

Do you have any dream role you always wished to play?

No I never had a wish like that. I began my career with ‘Iruvar’. That was my initial stage as an actress. I never asked director to portray me for long time or to give me more songs. Similarly I was asked to play the role of a housewife the movie 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' and I said yes. I never asked anybody to mould a role according to me. But yes, I want to do some innovative roles in future.

How was your experience working with Rajnikanth?

I have seen lot of his movies. I even heard a lot about him. I feel lucky for getting an opportunity to work with him in ROBO. Everybody is fond of his style and acting skills. He is very lively and social person.

What changes did you observe in Shankar post Jeans and ROBO?

How can I make my Guru’s development graph?But i can definitely tell you one thing. There is no change in Shankar as a person. He is still the same I saw at the time of Jeans. But his passion for work has increased. He has excelled himself as a director. The story he narrates and the same he pictures on screen are quite different. He follows the best technical values for his movies, which makes him great.

What is your role in Robo?

I should not reveal details of my role in ROBO. Well, my role’s name is Sana and you will see me as medicine student. I have never played a role like this earlier. I cannot tell you more than this.

Did the failure of Raavan hurt you?

To get success in a movie is the main ambition for any actor. We have worked hard for Raavan. But audience verdict is the final verdict. We must observe our mistakes in the movies and should take care that they are not made again. I can proudly say that I have been getting good marks for my performance in every role I play in every movie, whether it is a flop or success.

Did you ever thought to keep limitations to play only particular roles after marriage?

My mindset is still the same as I used to have in the early stages of my career. I always wanted to play any kind of role. We fail as an actor if we think that we deserve only particular roles after marriage. You must understand that even after my marriage directors are showing interest in working with me. Aish is ready to enact any role she likes.

Do you have any wish to work with particular director?

There are lot directors but I do not want to mention their names. I am a director’s actress. And I act according to him.

Did you learn any styles from Superstar Rajnikanth?

No I cannot do it, In factno one can do like him. But it feels thrilling watching him doing all that.
