Although Kangna Ranaut is thankful to her mother Asha for teaching her basic life lessons, she also confesses to be scared of her strict mom.
Talking about her childhood memories, the actress said she doesn’t remember her mom’s lullabies, but her strictness.
Sharing a childhood moment, Kangna said: “I was beaten up with a broom in my childhood. There is nothing memorable than that. All mothers sing lullaby for their children and feed them with good food.”
“My mother was a Sanskrit teacher and all the students in the school were scared of her,” added the actress, who was recently seen opposite John Abraham in Sanjay Gupta’s “Shootout At Wadala”.
But at the same time, Kangna says her mom trained her so well that if she has to quit acting, she has an alternative.
“My mother had trained me in everything, except for acting. I know how to wash dishes and cook food. I was told that you will let down the family after marriage,” she told reporters at Thank You Mom event organised by PandG on the occasion of Mother’s Day falling coming Sunday.
“So just in case it doesn’t work out here, I am set,” she added.
The 26-year-old National Award winning actress, who made her Bollywood debut in 2006 with “Gangster – A Love Story”, hails from a Rajput family in Himachal Pradesh.
Kangna will soon be seen in “I Love New Year” opposite Sunny Deol.
Actress Shraddha Kapoor and filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor were also present at the event along with their mothers.

Dhanush, Parvathi Menon are playing the lead roles in Mariyaan. Bharat Bala directed this film and ace music director A.R.Rahman composed the tunes. The trailers of Mariyaan was launched recently and creating a huge buzz in the industry.
Recently, a protest was raised against Mariyaan movie trailer which shows Dhanush smoking cigarette. Central Minister Anbumani criticizes the smoking scenes in Mariyaan. He released a statement, “They have prioritized smoking scenes in the movie. It is punishable offense to appear smoking for pictures. Dhanush should avoid doing smoking scenes for the movie.”
As per sources, Dhanush is in talks with director Bharath Bala to remove the smoking scenes from Mariyaan. Meanwhile, Mariyaan completed its shooting part and progressing well with the post-production work. It is the story based on real life incidents and major scenes were canned in Sudan and Kanyakumari.
Arjun, Cheran, Vimal are playing the main leads in Moondru Per Moondru Kaadhal. Vasanth of Satham Podathey is wielding the megaphone. Muktha Bhanu, Surveen Chawla and Lasini are playing the female leads and Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the tunes.
Moondru Per Moondru Kaadhal is getting ready for a release on May 1st. Earlier, the movie has undergone its censor work and awarded with ‘U’ certificate by censor board. Moondru Per Moondru Kaadhal is touted to be a romantic entertainer.

Saddened by the recent turn of events, southern actress Anjali says she can't blame anyone for the mess in her life as she herself is responsible for it.
"I'm sorry about all the recent incidents that happened in my life. I have nobody to blame for it because I'm responsible for my actions," Anjali, who appeared in public Friday after remaining missing for five days, said.
"I may have hurt many in the last few days, including my family members. I would personally like to apologise to them.
"I would also like to thank all those who stood by me and lent their support. I will start shooting from Monday for pending projects. All I need to do now is concentrate on my work and put all this behind me," she added.
Anjali is currently working on untitiled Telugu remake of "Bol Bachchan".
Director Hari Gopalakrishnan says his upcoming Tamil action-drama "Singam 2" will be an extension of "Singam", but not a sequel.
The second part is a continuation of the first with additional characters.
"I have retained all the characters from the first part and I have also added a few more actors in 'Singam 2', which makes it a continuation of the first part. Probably for the first time in Tamil cinema such a feat is attempted," said Hari in a statement.
"Singam 2" features Suriya Sivakumar, Anushka Shetty, Hansika Motwani, Vivek, Santhanam, Nassar, Vijay Kumar, Radha Ravi, Mukesh Rishi and Manorama.
"I had developed the story for the second part even before 'Singam' was released. Following the success of 'Singam', I decided to work on 'Singam 2' and I have received lot of encouragement from my team," he said.
Hari says one of the highlights of the film would be locations. The story is set in South India and South Africa.
"While the first half is shot completely in South India, we have filmed crucial parts of the second half in places such as Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg in South Africa. We have filmed an important fight scene in the crowded streets of Durban," he said.
Talking about the Indian locations he said that the story is set against the backdrop of Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu. "We have also shot in places such as Karaikudi, Ambasamudram, Tirunelveli and Hyderabad," he added.
Some parts have also been shot in Malaysia.
British actor Danny Sapani plays the antagonist in the film, which has music by Devi Sri Prasad.
"Singam 2" is produced by K.E. Gnanavelraja and is slated for a summer release.
Southern actress Disha Pandey has dropped her surname, saying she wants to be known as an Indian and not by her caste.
"I want to be known as an Indian before I'm recognised by my caste. In my effort to follow secularism, I will be known as Disha instead of Disha Pandey hereafter," Disha said.
Disha is known for southern films such as "Tamizh Padam", "Race" and "Keeripulla". She has also worked in Hindi films such as "Bolo Raam" and "Saare Jahaan Se Mehnga".
Currently, she is busy working on an untitled Telugu project.
Cinematographer turned director Ravi K.Chandran headed back to India along with Harris Jayraj after composing tunes for Yaan. Jeeva and Thulasi Nair are playing the main leads. Elred Kumar and Jayaraman are producing this film.

Ajith-Vishnuvardhan’s upcoming movie Valai (tentative title) is one of the most hyped movies of 2013. This multi-starrer movie also casts Arya, Nayantara and Tapsee in lead roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing tunes and the A.M.Ratnam is producing this movie.
As per reports, Ajith-Vishnuvardhan’s Valai shooting is left with two more songs which will be canned in abroad. Director Vishnuvardhan has already shot important action scenes in Dubai under Lee Whittaker’s coordination. An official first look is anticipated on Ajith’s birthday i.e. on May 1st.
Meanwhile, Ajith is busy shooting his next movie under Siva’s direction in Hyderabad. Tamanna is playing the female lead and Vidyullekha Raman, Santhanam are playing the supporting roles. This movie will have tunes composed by Devi Sri Prasad and produced under Vijaya Productions.
