Ace South Indian singer K.J.Yesudas is celebrating his 72nd birthday today. He was born on 10th January, 1940 in Kochi, Kerala. He joined R.L.V Music Academy in Thrippunithra to learn music and later he joined Sree Swati Thirunal music college, Thiruvananthapuram for gaining more knowledge in music. Yesudas debuted in Mollywood as a music director with the film ‘Kaalpadukal’. He lent his voice for the first song Jaathi Bhedam Matha Dwesham on 14th November, 1961. Without seeing back, he scored music for various South Indian regional industries besides Bollywood. Yesudas married Prabha and this couple was blessed with 3 sons Vijay, Vinod, Vishal. Vijay took the music genes from his father and is at present one of the best musicians in Kerala. He won Kerala State Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer in 2007.
